Laura Kriegel is a fierce advocate for children. A graduate of Columbia University’s School of Social Work, she has equipped herself with tools to build organizations focused on equity, inclusion, and social justice. In 2015, Laura co-founded Camp Stomping Ground, a nonprofit children’s sleepaway camp at the base of the Adirondack Mountains. Its mission is to inspire the next generation of radically empathetic decision-makers. Laura fosters a culture rooted in humble curiosity and restorative justice, where kids and staff from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds come together to solve problems collaboratively and explore different perspectives. Through her determination and vision, she has created a space where young people feel valued, heard, and empowered to shape a more just and compassionate world.
