What do String Theory and Mother Goose have in common? Come to Saratoga City Ballet’s Spring Production and see for yourself! Tickets are now available for Saratoga City Ballet’s Spring Showcase: “Mother Goose and Contemporary Works“, Saturday, June 10th at 2:00 and 6:00 pm, at the Maple Avenue Middle School, Trombley Auditorium, Saratoga Springs, NY. Saratoga City Ballet’s dancers (ages 5-17) will perform the classical ballet story, “Mother Goose”. Our Artistic Director, Vanessa Viscusi, is adapting the original music of Maurice Ravel’s Ma Mere L’Oye to Saratoga City Ballet’s interpretation of this piece. Come experience as this imaginary author comes to life bringing along her favorite fairy tales and nursery rhymes. Saratoga City Ballet’s rendition of “Mother Goose” helps to tell the stories in the most magnificent way through dancing. Students will also perform a dance of original choreography by Ms. Ruth Lewis titled “The Grand Theory, M Theory: Beyond String Theory”. Incorporating all the elements of STEAM, this is a vibrant and passionate interpretation of a theoretical scientific concept from the world of Physics. Ms. Lewis is a Choreographer and Director of Dimensional Dance Company, a contemporary ballet company.
