This beautiful basket is great to make for yourself or as a gift for a man or a woman. Spokes will be inserted into the slotted base for weaving. Students will chase weave and plain weave to the top with dyed flat oval reed. Fit a traditional rim, braid the rim filler with cotton cord and lash the rim with reed. Create the Cherokee wheels with cotton cord, completing your basket. The many different techniques in this basket will be taught in the class. Students will have a choice of colors.

NOTE:  Wear comfortable clothing. All materials to make the basket and the tools students will need will be provided during the class.
