In this project you will select, clean and cut a hardshell gourd. Handles may be cut out for a bowl. For a Box, a knob may be added to the top or it may be reattached with a leather hinge. Working freehand or using stencils, you will create a design for your gourd and use acrylic paints to fill it in. A coat of fast-drying polyurethane or shoe polish completes the project. No experience necessary.
