Elephant int he Room: Climate Change as a Top National Security Threat

Lance Clark is a former U.N. Ambassador with 35 years of experience in international work in emergency relief in conflicts, forced displacements, early warning of conflicts, and peace operations and peace building. This includes with the UN in places such as Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Rwanda, Iraq, Chechnya, Georgia (former USSR), Bosnia, Kosovo, Serbia and other countries. Rayna Caldwell, an environmental consultant, currently chairs the Climate Smart Task Force of Saratoga Springs. The Task Force engages in a variety of projects with the aim of reducing the City’s climate emissions by promoting energy efficiency and renewable energy. Rayna earned a Master’s of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
